We, so-called Australians, have 6 refugees I consider them our brothers who are still locked away in Paupa New Guinea is why this particular fundraiser is being held.
The Australian government has abandoned them. Contracts with PNG government has ended and our brothers receive NO support. They must pay for their own food and electricity. They are literally starving and struggling hard to survive. We MUST help them to get basic supply like food and hygiene products..
There are about 55 refugees plus their families still detained in Papua New Guinea since 2013. I slowly gained trust of these 6 this year (2024). They have heard of me, but we never made contact until now.
Our brothers that we are fundraising for are too ashamed to ask for help. These brothers have not received help from other people because they are too ashamed to put their name on a list because people want to know they received some money.
Unfortunately, $200 dollars last maybe 1 week. Food and supplies are very expensive, more expensive than Australia, in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea where they are currently held. Look at the images one of.our brothers sent to us and the prices in the stores!
They shouldn’t be ashamed to ask for help! The so-called Australian government has left them to survive on their own. Our brothers can’t get jobs as they are extremely unwell. The locals are not accepting of our refugees amd asylum seekers still in POM.
So, here is what we are doing to help…
We will raise $6,000 AUD
This will allow our 6 brothers to survive on basic amounts of food and other supplies for a couple months.
We have never done a fundraiser for these brothers. They are quiet and keep to themselves. As I talk to them they have told me how hard it is to buy basics as they have no support which broke my heart. They don’t have family support and rely on brothers that left P
